From the 1st of April 2019, Electric Vehicles (EV) that are equipped with a Lithium-Ion Battery Pack are provided with a State of Health guarantee for the Nissan LEAF Lithium-Ion battery. This guarantee protects against battery capacity loss, which is indicated by less than 9 bars out of 12 on the vehicle's capacity gauge, for a period of 8 years or 160,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. The warranty starts from the moment the vehicle is registered or put into service, whichever happens first.
The Nissan Ariya is not yet available for purchase in Australia. However, interested customers can register their interest on Nissan Australia's website to receive updates on the release of the Ariya.
The Nissan Leaf Plus is a newer version of the Nissan Leaf that has a larger battery and a longer driving range. While the regular Nissan Leaf has an estimated driving range of up to 239 km, the Nissan Leaf Plus has an estimated driving range of up to 363 km on a single charge.
While the Nissan Leaf has a limited driving range, it can be used for long-distance driving by taking advantage of public charging stations along the way. Nissan also offers a network of fast-charging stations called "EZ Charge" that can recharge the battery to 80% in as little as 30 minutes.
